Never dip a cake pop when you first pull cake dough out of freezer, the chocolate will crack, always try and make sure your cake dough is room temperature before dipping into chocolate.

When cutting your cakes to shape them, it is always a good idea to freeze them for about an hour so you get a solid clean cut. This is especially helpful if your doing a topsy turvy cake.
